I am currently enrolling in an online Finance Course, and yesterday surprisingly I came across this line in the book I am reading “Outliers,” so I think it would be interesting to share this philosophy from Nassim Taleb in investment.
Different from the “normal distribution” — the bell curve distribution we often see in human heights, IQs, sat scores, there are always risks of an abnormal event, an outlier or a shock that crashes everything, turning things into chaos. Just like a single black swan can refuse the wisdom that all swans are white.
