When the Forest Meets the Stars

There are love stories you read to be entertained; there are love stories you read to be inspired. Glendy’s debut novel, When the Forest Meets the Stars, is definitely where I found meanings in love that exists in so many forms. The story of the three “almost” strangers—misery broken pieces of society—came together under one roof is just incredible. I love how Joanna, Gabe, and Ursa make up each other’s physical, emotional scars and passionately move forward with what they are having.

 

The fact that Ursa’s claim of her place of origin remains unresolved makes me feel a bit unsatisfied. But, who knows, maybe that’s Glendy’s idea to write the post-story in another book.

 

Again, When the Forest Meets the Stars is simple but inspiringly romantic.
